What: We are have a trunk sale to celebrate the Grand Opening of our new retail space! Please come down and have a tequila cocktail with us and shop in our Flagship Store. DJ Ianator will be playing us fun music to shop, groove and hang out to. Our sister company, Sheila B. Jewelry will be here in house for all your feathery and stone jewelry delights. And one of our other favorite jewelry lines will be here, VALOU!

When: This is all happening from 4:30-11:30 on September 29th.

Click to view slideshow.Last night I pulled in 2 full racks of clothes to shoot for kucoon’s online store fw12…thinking it would take about 2 hours to shoot. Not sure what I was on when I came that conclusion but it took 5 hours. Our photographer, Cameron Jorden was on top of her game. She came prepared with back up aka extra cards, water, and a positive mind frame. Eva (our model) and kucoon’s drill sergeant was keeping stamina as if she was running the marathon at Kona. After the shoot ended successfully, none of us missing any body parts, or bruised egos we retired to the Verdugo Bar for tequila on the rocks. Such a rad bar, one of my favorites in or actually on the outskirts of LA. You have to check out Glassell Park, its the neighborhood of my new studio and I love it here, it is right around the corner from the Verdugo Bar.

Thank you so much Eva for being an amazing marathon model, Cameron for remaining focused and still bringing your undeniable cheer into the shoot, and last but not least Sheila b. for making Eva even more beautiful with your magic…. you are such a aesthetic genius.

Gillian found out about KUCOON through Amanda, an amazing lady and friend who does make up and hair for Gillian on 90210. Gillian saw Amanda wearing the joey bell bottom pants and asked if she could have a custom made in crushed velvet. So we did a collab and she wore them on the red carpet for the MTV awards as well as a kittinhawk head band. She is defiantly one of those girls who can pull off anything but i love the look she is rockin on the red carpet aside from the fact she is wearing kucoon. She obviously made a statement and unlike alot of other ladies that night probably felt really comfortable.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dwelling at the gather store in silverlake with some magical ladies that spin webs in the most amazing ways- creating beautiful things not only for your wardrobe but for you daily life. Reminding us that art and beauty can be displayed everywhere through many different avenues.
